<p class="Paragraph">The Form toolbar in the Form view contains various functions for editing a database table or controlling the data view.</p>

<p class="Paragraph">It is used for navigating within records and for inserting and deleting records. If data is saved in a form, the changes are transferred to the database. The Form toolbar also contains functions for sorting and filtering data and allows several methods for searching records.</p>
<p class="Paragraph">The form toolbar is only visible for forms connected to a database. It is also active in the Form view but is deactivated in the <help:link Id="66190" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">Design view</help:link> of the form. <p class="Paragraph">Sorted and filtered data is kept in a form until the restrictions are removed. If a filter has been used, the <span class="T1">Apply Filter</span> icon on the Form bar is activated. Sorting and filtering features in the form can be configured via Form properties. Choose <span class="T1">Form Properties</span> - tab <span class="T1">Data</span> - Properties <help:link Id="65955" Eid="sortierung" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"><span class="T1">Sort</span></help:link> and <help:link Id="65955" Eid="filter" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"><span class="T1">Filter</span></help:link>.</p>
<p class="Paragraph">If a SQL statement is the basis for a form (see <span class="T1">Form Properties</span> - tab <span class="T1">Data</span> - Property <help:link Id="65955" Eid="datenquelle" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"><span class="T1">Data Source</span></help:link>), then the filter and sort functions are only available when the SQL-Statement refers to a table and is not written in the Native-SQL of the database.</p>
